Workforce Literacy Essential Skills (WLES) Program Model - Manual Section 3: Curriculum Modules Overview (2011)

This document is part of a Workforce Literacy Essentials Skills (WLES) program, developed by Literacy Victoria in British Columbia to help adult learners prepare for employment.

It provides an overview of the program’s curriculum modules, which focus on personal goals; workplace success; health and safety; communication skills; numeracy skills; information technology skills; sector-specific skills; and job-seeking skills.

The authors note that the goals of all the modules include recognizing that a wide range of skills are required for success in the workplace; building confidence through group discussion; recognizing preferred learning styles and work environments; and working towards individual target goals with tutor support.
