Workforce Literacy Essential Skills (WLES) Program Model - Manual Section 4: Example of Group Learning Sessions Programming (75 hours) (2011)

This manual is part of a Workforce Literacy Essentials Skills (WLES) program, developed by Literacy Victoria in British Columbia with the goal of creating a nationally transferable program to help adult learners prepare for employment and successfully integrate into the workplace.

This section of the manual offers examples of programming from all of the WLES modules, with suggested lesson plans to help facilitators plan instructional time.

The authors have included teaching tips. For instance, they note that many adult learners have part-time casual employment with unpredictable schedules, so a program model that schedules group learning sessions in both daytime and evening time slots is recommended.
