Shopping and Banking Safely Online (2012)

This workshop presentation, updated in 2012, has been designed to help participants learn about online shopping; practise their shopping skills; and discover safe online practices.

The authors discuss types of online shopping, including window shopping by researching products; using online classified ads like Craigslist; buying goods or services through retail or business sites like Amazon or Air Canada; and buying or selling items on auction sites like eBay.

They have also included statistical information about online shopping and banking in Canada.
