Skill Book 1 - A guide to learning, enhancing, and practicing Essential Skills needed for everyday living (2011)

This document is intended for students using the first module in this teaching and learning package developed by the Newfoundland and Labrador Laubach Literacy Council. It is to be used with the equivalent tutor guide and as a complement to the Skill Book 1 of the Laubach Way to Reading Series.

This document contains lessons that introduce the Essential Skills through practical everyday examples, including a doctor’s appointment and a permission slip for a school field trip.

The author has included a glossary of new words, space for the student to make notes, and a list of objectives to help the learner keep track of progress made.
