Using Skype - Lesson Plan (2012)

Updated in 2012, this document provides the outline for a three-hour lesson about Skype, a software application that allows users to make audio and video calls over the Internet.

During the lesson, learners will download Skype; create a Skype account; set up a profile and add a profile picture; add a contact; and make video calls.

The lesson plan includes detailed descriptions of specific learning goals; an estimate of the time required for each one; and page references for the workbook that accompanies the lesson. The workbook can be viewed by clicking here: http://library.copian.ca/item/11142.

It is part of a computer series developed by Columbia Basin Alliance for Literacy (CBAL) and is published on Creative Commons, a non-profit organization devoted to expanding the range of creative works available to share legally.
