OALCF Resource List (2012)

This is a list of resources for use with the Ontario Adult Literacy Curriculum Framework (OALCF), a competency-based framework that supports the development of programming delivered through Literacy and Basic Skills (LBS) agencies. It grew out of an online resource fair hosted by Community Literacy of Ontario (CLO) in February 2012.

The authors point out that as the literacy field transitions to the OALCF, there is a need to share information about resources that may be helpful, both to reduce stress for practitioners and to allow everyone to share challenges, victories, and resources. As well, many of the current tools that are being used in literacy agencies can be adapted for use within the new framework.

The resources suggested by participants have been divided into three categories: assessment tools; learner plans; and instructional resources.
