Ideas for Video Projects (2012)

In this document, part of a series on video in the classroom, the authors offer suggestions for different kinds of video projects.
They set out the steps for making a video, from planning it, through the filming of material, and onto the post-production editing.
They suggest topics for a variety of different types of videos, including instructional, entertainment, documentary, and storytelling videos. For example, a documentary video could focus on the role of elders in the community, while an instructional video could explain how to sew mittens.
The authors also introduce a presentation methodology called Pecha Kucha, in which 20 slides are shown for 20 seconds each. This method is often used at a multiple-speaker event called a Pecha Kucha Night, or PKN.
The document also contains links to a variety of online resources for more information on video production.
