Aboriginal Literacy and Essential Skills Pilot Project – Webinar (2013)

This webinar consists of a brief audio file, a PowerPoint presentation, and a short PDF file that present the highlights of the Aboriginal Literacy and Essential Skills (ALES) pilot project, carried out between 2010 and 2013 by Literacy Victoria in British Columbia.

The ALES project helped First Nations communities on southern Vancouver Island develop a learning vision and set of pathways that are culturally relevant and reflect community literacy and essential skills needs, interests, and priorities.

The final report of the project is available in NALD’s library.

The project was funded by Human Resources and Skills Development Canada (HRSDC).
