National Adult Literacy Database Inc. – 2012-2013 Annual Report: Information and Connections (2013)

This annual report from the National Adult Literacy Database (NALD) highlights new initiatives and directions for the organization.

During 2012-13, NALD developed new vision and mission statements, while reaffirming its core values and guiding principles. It also began to implement its plan to transition out of website support and maintenance into a hosting-only service.

The year also saw the creation of two new products, accessible through the main NALD website. Modus is a searchable, interactive directory of essential skills assessment tools that offers users both free diagnostic tools and links to fee-for-service agencies, while Studio is a searchable directory devoted to case studies of best practices in workplace education.

Other highlights of the year include NALD’s participation in a forum on essential skills in the workplace, and choosing the winner of the 2012 NALD Innovative Technology Award.
