Collection of Texts: Class of 2011 – 2012 (2012)

Located in a small community southwest of Montreal in Quebec, the Huntingdon Learning Centre is a non-profit organization that offers workshops, in both French and English, in basic reading, writing and mathematics. It also offers courses in both English and French as a second language for newcomers to the area.

This document is a collection of work produced by learners at the centre during the 2011-12 academic year. The material includes information about a favourite hockey team; accounts of holiday celebrations; and stories about class outings.

One learner wrote about a cousin facing a serious illness.
