Job Success Strategies – Instructional Resource (2012)

This instructor’s manual is part of the “Career – Life – Work” series produced by the NWT Literacy Council.

In this section, the focus is on helping learners understand all the demands of working full-time and giving them strategies to deal with challenges that might come up.

Topics covered include work ethics; rights and responsibilities on the job; dealing with change, including getting rid of bad habits and developing new, positive ones; dealing with stress; and time management.

The author has provided a variety of activities for instructors to choose from, along with handouts for learners.

As well, there are two workbooks, entitled “Goal Setting” and “Dealing with Stress,” that can be used with this section, or as stand-alone units.
