NALD Library (2013)

This document provides an overview of the library of the National Adult Literacy Database (NALD), a nonprofit organization now known as Copian. The file accompanies the presentation of a webinar that is found here:

As of April 2013, the database contained almost 6,500 documents, about two-thirds of them in English, and the rest in French.

The collection has two main divisions: research materials and learning materials. Research materials include whole documents such as research reports, directories, articles and reviews, while learning materials contain resources such as online books that may be used at home or in the classroom.

The author has included information about how documents make it into the library; copyright; searching the database; and sorting documents after a search.

There are also tips for browsing by author, title, publication date, keywords, subjects, and main subjects.
