Alcool NB Liquor (2005)

Case Study

Alcool NB Liquor (ANBL) delivers training material via email to help store employees improve their product knowledge, customer service, and communication skills.

ANBL is a provincial Crown corporation responsible for the purchase, importation, distribution, and retailing of all beverage alcohol in New Brunswick.

To meet customers’ requests for a higher level of service from retail staff, ANBL developed three in-house courses, offered in both English and French, with course information delivered by email to employees in all 50 corporate retail stores across the province.

The training team designed courses that allow access for all full-time and part-time employees; accommodate various learning styles; and provide employees with industry-specific knowledge and communication skills necessary for high-quality customer service.

Benefits to the corporation include improved attitudes toward work among employees, and a greater interest in enhancing other workplace skills.
