Learning Curves, Twists, and Turns (2013)

This paper is part of a project designed to collect information and stories about both teaching and learning in adult literacy.

The author describes both the frustrations and the joys of undertaking a project in Bolivia, where she had to adjust to a new culture and learn a new language. Everything she had once taken for granted was no longer valid or easy.

Others educators describe their experiences as adults learning new skills, and discuss how previous learning experiences affected them. Their experiences lead them to conclude that learning is a lifelong process.

The author has also included links to a variety of resources about teaching and learning.
