Documenting Student Success: The Development of a Learner Portfolio (2002)

The portfolio process outlined in this resource was designed to give literacy practitioners a practical way to showcase student success. It is intended for use with the Nova Scotia Adult Learning Program (ALP) and the Intake Assessment Tools used in adult education classes throughout that province.

The ALP helps students establish their learning goals, while the Intake Assessment Tools gather baseline information about the students’ skills. Teachers and students can then use this information to guide future instruction and make decisions about learning.
