Supporting Smoother Transitions (2008)

Evaluation Report

The Peterborough Native Learning Program, an adult literacy community-based program in Ontario, works with individuals who have their sights and hearts set on getting decent, meaningful jobs, providing training so that they are ready to write the grade 12 equivalency test or the last level of upgrading at the local college. In 2007, the program received funding to develop a training series and materials called "Supporting Smoother Transitions" at three stages of life: Elementary School to High School, High School to Post-Secondary, and Adult Literacy to Employment.

In this report, project organizers evaluate the training sessions and the program they developed. Their report is divided into the following sections:

- Executive summary
- Significant issues that arose
- Findings
- Conclusions
- Participant notes
