A Guide for Planning a Collaborative Evaluation for Municipal Workplace Literacy Programs (1998)

This workbook describes a step-by-step process for developing an evaluation strategy for municipal workplace literacy programs. The approach is based on collaboration and on-going assessment. The workbook describes how to prepare for the evaluation, how to plan the evaluation, and how to carry it out.

Section 2 of the workbook describes the principles that have been demonstrated by successful workplace literacy programs in municipalities across Canada. Section 3 introduces key points to guide your evaluation. Section 4 provides working documents to help you plan and carry out the evaluation process.

Section 5 provides tips for reporting your findings to all interested parties. Section 6 will help you to assess the evaluation process, and Section 7 provides a list of additional resources.

It is hoped that this workbook will help you develop a strategy for effective collaboration among the partners in your municipal workplace literacy program.
