Lesson Plan 23: Preparing a Written Commentary for an Oral Presentation (2005)

To develop a commentary to conduct a Site Tour

This lesson plan teaches learners to prepare a written commentary for an oral presentation in order to conduct a tour of a local tourist site. It is the second of three lesson plans created to assist local tour guides give effective site tours. Prepared by ESL (English as a Second Language) teachers, it is geared to well-educated individuals who had careers in the tourism industry. Suggested teacher resources and classroom materials are listed.

The five Essential Skills required are: Speaking, Listening, Reading Text, Writing, and Continuous Learning.
