Essential Skills for Personal Success (2010)

This is the workbook for the third module of the “Essential Skills for Personal Success!” curriculum, which deals with managing personal issues and relationships. The skills covered include reading to a child and helping with homework; finding telephone listings; handling money and banking matters; being organized; discovering personal learning styles; and dealing with social services agencies.
To illustrate the material being taught, the authors use four students from CAST – Community Adult Skills and Training – who are improving their essential skills. The four students – two men and two women – range in age from 18 to 46.
The authors include a variety of learning activities and provide checklists so learners can evaluate their essential skills at the beginning and end of each chapter.
