Divorce and your credit (2009)

This self-help guide, one of a series prepared by Consolidated Credit Counseling Services of Canada, focuses on protecting your credit rating and financial assets when a marriage breaks down.

The authors explain the potential impact of divorce on a person’s credit rating and emphasize the importance of knowing as much as possible about any assets or liabilities that are jointly held. They also offer suggestions for building a credit rating as a single person.

The authors have included a series of worksheets to help with budgeting.
