Being Safe at Work (2011)

Workplace Health & Safety Guidebook in Plain Language

The authors of this guide, written in clear language, discuss Manitoba’s workplace safety laws and explain the rights and responsibilities of employees and employers with regard to maintaining a safe work environment.

They also explain how harassment and discrimination can lead to an unsafe work environment and offer suggestions for avoiding such injuries as back strain. They have also included a quiz and detailed instructions on what to do if someone is injured at work.

The guide includes specific references to Manitoba legislation but also contains information that would be useful to anyone interested in workplace safety.
