Customer Care for Housekeepers (2010)

Training Materials for Hotel Housekeeping Staff

This resource was developed to respond to Essential Skills training needs, particularly oral communication, of immigrants working as hotel housekeeping staff.

The first three units of the document deal with cleaning guest rooms; customer care; and safety and emergencies. These units have been designed for staff with Canadian Language Benchmark (CLB) levels 1 to 3.

A fourth unit, which offers an introduction to hotel operations, was added specifically for housekeepers with higher English skills and the potential to move into other parts of the hotel.
