Digital Storytelling: A Great Way to Engage and Inspire Learners (2010)

The authors note that storytelling has always played a big role in Aboriginal culture. Digital storytelling simply brings that tradition into the computer age.

The authors explain that digital storytelling means using computer-based tools – computer-based images, audio narration, video clips, music – to tell stories. They outline a step-by-step process for preparing a digital story, from selecting a topic through importing images and audio material to posting the story online.

They also include brief guides to three major programs for digital storytelling: Microsoft Photo Story; Apple iMovie; and Windows Movie Maker.
