Writing at Work

This document is part of the curriculum developed through the New Brunswick Aboriginal Workplace Essential Skills (NBAWES) project to help Aboriginal adults improve their literacy skills and their employability.

In this unit, the focus is on writing in the workplace and the objective is to help learners acquire the skills involved in producing different types of business documents. Learning activities include following a procedure in writing a document; creating standard forms and filling out forms; designing and writing standard business documents; and distributing documents by using different methods of standard business communication.

The authors encourage instructors to acquire appropriate resource material from local sources.
