Family violence

Since 1986, Social and Enterprise Development Innovations (SEDI) has helped low-income earners gain financial independence through financial literacy, entrepreneurship, and asset building.

This study investigates the effectiveness of Residential Heating Ventilation and Air Conditioning Training (RHVACT) for Women at Toronto’s George Brown College, a pre-apprenticeship pilot project funded by the Government of Ontario’s Women’s Directorate, in helping to ease the barriers to employment in skilled trades for women trying to leave violent domestic situations.

This How-to-Kit was developed by the NWT Literacy Council to help families and communities celebrate literacy. It offers advice on how to plan a family fun day and contains a planning checklist as wells as lots of ideas for activities, games, activity sheets and crafts.

This book is intended for adults who already have acquired the reading skills and knowledge of a beginning and mid-stage one learner.

A research project was undertaken by the author, with the assistance of a group of women, adult students from a Personal Life Management course the author was facilitating.
