The Fredericton Regional Family Resource Centre, in partnership with the national training program, Weaving Literacy into Family and Community Life and The National Literacy Secretariat has developed a series of Weaving Literacy into the Fabric of Life workshops.
In order for New Brunswickers to benefit from the Adult and Lifelong Learning stepping stone, the government of NB will work with its partners to achieve the following six objectives:

Canadian Results of the International Adult Literacy and Skills Survey
This report presents the results of the 2003 International Adult Literacy and Skills Survey (IALSS) that measured the proficiencies in literacy, numeracy and problem solving of the Canadian population. It shows the skills distributions of the population of each of the ten provinces and three territories and of specific subpopulations, such as immigrants, Aboriginal peoples and minority language groups.
The Literacy Volunteers: Value Added Research Report represents the results of six months of research conducted in 2005 by Community Literacy of Ontario (CLO) with literacy agencies and volunteers to better understand the economic and social value that volunteers bring to Anglophone community-based literacy programs throughout the province of Ontario.
This book is a resource for literacy workers. One of its focus is on the challenges of people having limited literacy skills when they attempt to access counselling services. It also includes information for workers who may be working with victims of abuse and violence.
