In the early 1990s, workers in the unionized sector of the British Columbia construction industry were finding that changing technology required them to read more difficult materials and to use more complex mathematical concepts. SkillPlan was developed in March 1991 to improve workers' basic skills to meet the demands of the new technology.

Mother Raven Nursery Rhymes (1992)

This booklet is a collection of nursery rhymes with a twist, featuring traditional rhymes rewritten to reflect the experiences of Canada’s North.

For instance, “Peter Peter, Pumpkin Eater” becomes “Peter Peter, Dryfish Eater” and Mary has a little lynx, rather than a lamb.

Each rhyme is illustrated with a black and white drawing.
