Alberta Workforce Essential Skills

Effective Presentations and Safety Talks is a hands-on resource package developed to provide organizations with communication skills training for supervisors, safety trainers, lead hands and other employees interested in improving public speaking skills. The package is divided into five one-hour sections with each topic representing one hour of training.

Workplace essential skills are the skills required in all occupations that enable people to do their work, skills that learners must have to succeed in getting and keeping employment. In recent years, educators and government funders have realized that learners benefit from instruction that integrates academic and workplace essential skills.
