This document grew out of a Health and Learning Knowledge Centre (HLKC) consultation organized by the Canadian Council on Learning (CCL) in Vancouver, British Columbia, in 2005. The meeting saw the establishment of working groups to concentrate on health-related issues for identified priority groups, including adults living with HIV/AIDS.

This report is based on consultations held in Montreal (QC); Edmonton (AB); and Truro (NS).

Women's Work Training Program (2009)

This document provides an overview of the Women’s Work Training Program (WWTP), established in Regina, Saskatchewan, to provide low-income women with the skills necessary to find well-paid jobs and, at the same time, bring more women into the province’s building trades.

Two-thirds of the clients who enrolled in WWTP were of Aboriginal origin, a proportion that continued to grow as the program progressed.
