Prince Edward Learning Centre in Picton, Ontario, has produced a new learning tool to help learners with their job search. The manual uses plain language and takes the learner through the job hunting process. There are many exercises throughout the book and they have been articulated to Recognition of Adult Learning Strategy (RALS).
This is a collection of stories by members of Seniors' Writing Circles and Fundamental Level Students, College of New Caledonia, Prince George, British Columbia. The Prince George Seniors' Writing Circles began in September 1996 as the result of a cost-shared government grant. Behind the walls of the many senior residences and activity centres in Prince George, is a wealth of untapped historical experience.
The World of Science is a general science reader aimed mainly at adult learners. The book is intended for use by learners, with help from facilitators where necessary. It is suggested that the words at the beginning of each chapter be read to students before starting work on the chapter. Students or facilitators might wish to tape record word pronunciations or other material from this book.
