Recognition Awards for Adult Literacy - 2006 (2006)

Four Quebec adult education and literacy organizations in collaboration with the Canadian Commission for UNESCO inaugurated a new recognition award in 2006 for adult literacy learners and teachers/tutors in Quebec’s English-language sector. This booklet is a compilation of the winners and all the submissions received from the learners and students.

Stories by Toronto adult literacy learners

This collection of stories is the culmination of a project undertaken in 2004 by The Word On The Street in partnership with the Metro Toronto Movement for Literacy and the National Literacy Secretariat. It follows up on the 2002 project pilot "Land That I Dream Of." The stories in this book have been written by adults in literacy programs in Toronto.
